    One-bedroom hotel

With a great affinity for rare industrial buildings, we proudly took the opportunity to design the interior for single-suite hotel Von Dice.
Von Dice is built in an iconic concrete former sludge return puping station to purify water for the city of Amsterdam.

The unique, bunker-like building is 21 meters tall with a width varying from 2,8 to only 1,3 meters.
The interior contrasts the rough, ragged concrete building with it's soft yet bold identity.
Due to it’s shape the different rooms are connected by cast staircases that branch out from the bedroom.
Von Dice is designed with sustainability at heart:
    - Old steel grids serve as sun blinds to the glass roof
    - Layers of natural clay plaster cover the walls, and
    - Dutch oak is used for the timber finishings
The redevelopment of this purification station proofs a great love for ‘recycling’ and monumental heritage.

    Repurposing with a purpose!
